Miscellaneous: What is your cancellation policy? If you give us 2 weeks cancellation notice Wildlife Ambassadors will refund 100% of the cost of your program minus a $35 booking fee. If a cancellation is made with less than a week's notice Wildlife Ambassador will refund 50% of the cost of your program. There are no refunds for cancellation made with 48 hours prior to the scheduled program. May I pick the animals I want to come to my program? No. We will ensure that your program has a varied and exciting group of "ambassadors" but we cannot promise that certain animals will be available. Our ambassadors need days off and sometimes are molting, etc. so we cannot guarantee that certain animals will come to your program. What happens if there is inclimate weather? Wildlife Ambassadors is located in Western Loudoun County which means that depending where you are, the weather can be very different. We reserve the right to reschedule a show if we determine the weather is too severe for travel and could endanger our staff and animals. In the event of a weather cancellation, we will offer you the option of a full refund or a rescheduled show. I can no longer care for my exotic pet, can I donate it to Wildlife Ambassadors? You can absolutely call us and we will help you figure out what is your best option. Wildlife Ambassadors is not always able to take an exotic pet but we are very happy to talk to you and see if we can help. May I visit my donated pet? Unfortunately, because Wildlife Ambassadors' facilities are not public our insurance does not allow for visits. But we understand how important it is to make sure your former pet is happy and well acclimated so we are always very happy to let you know of public shows that your former pet will be at if you'd like to attend. I found a wild animal, can I bring it to you?Wildlife Ambassadors is a wildlife education program not a rehabilitation center, so we do not take injured wildlife that needs veterinary assistance. We do however work with several organizations regarding injured wildlife. You can contact Blue Ridge Wildlife Center, Blue Ridge Veterinary Associates, Wildlife Rescue League or the Wildlife Center of Virginia. Please note that most times wildlife does not need our “help”- you could be witnessing a baby bird during a flight lesson, a fawn who was carefully hidden by his mother or baby rabbits who have been put in a safe place by mom and are always under her watchful eye. Unless an animal is obviously injured, abandoned or in danger, please leave wildlife alone. Is Wildlife Ambassadors a nonprofit? Yes, Wildlife Ambassadors is a Virginia nonprofit. Are my donations tax deductible? Not at this time. Wildlife Ambassadors has filed for tax-exempt status with the IRS but our filing has not be reviewed by the IRS yet. How can I make a donation? You can either make a donation online via PayPal or with a check (please include our donation form for mailed checks). Thank you so much for your support of Wildlife Ambassadors — we could not do all that we do without the help of caring individuals. Can I visit an animal that I sponsor? Unfortunately because our facility is not public our insurance does not permit individuals to visit us. We will, however, let you know when the animal you have sponsored will be at a public show so you can see it. What are Wildlife Ambassadors long term plans?Wildlife Ambassadors has big plans for the next decade! We hope to begin raising funds for a public faclity in the next five years. A public facility would allow greater access to our "ambassadors" and allow us to do more for the animals and the public.
