Our Mission

Wildlife Ambassadors provides high quality, educational and entertaining programs. We strive to engage our audiences and create budding conservationists by letting our ambassadors tell their stories about their species and the environments they live in.

Our History

Wildlife Ambassadors was previously Animal Ambassadors — an organization that entertained thousands of people, young and old, for over ten years. We changed our name when we filed to be a nonprofit. As a nonprofit, Wildlife Ambassadors will be able to do more for our ambassadors and provide more to the public.

Wildlife Ambassadors is:

  • Licensed with USDA and Virginia Department of Game & Inland Fisheries
  • A member of the Bluemont Artists-In-Education

Our Director

Wildlife Ambassador’s founder/director, Becky Shore, has a degree in Wildlife Biology and Speech Communications from Virginia Tech. Becky worked for eight years in the zoo management and education field, before founding Wildlife Ambassadors predecessor, Animal Ambassadors, in 1996.

Her expertise in writing and presenting children’s programs, training exotic animals, and educating the public about environmental issues such as the diminishing tropical rainforests have made Becky, and Wildlife Ambassadors, leaders in the wildlife education field.

Our Staff

Wildlife Ambassadors education staff are experienced animal handlers and educators who provide a safe, fun environment for learning and enjoyment.
